Ms. Denholtz graduated in the top 3% of her law school class at Quinnipiac University School of Law. She was recognized for exceptional academic performance in Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure, Evidence, Trial Practice, Advanced Trial Practice, Alternative Dispute Resolution, and Clinical Work. While in law school, Ms. Denholtz was a publication editor on the Quinnipiac Law Review. She also completed two internships with federal district court judges, a year-long appellate clinic, two internships with the Connecticut Public Defender’s Office, and served as a research assistant to an esteemed law professor.

After law school, Ms. Denholtz completed a two-year Juvenile Justice Fellowship for the Juvenile Sentencing Project at Quinnipiac University School of Law, where she worked directly with Sarah F. Russell who is now a federal district court judge. During this fellowship, Ms. Denholtz focused exclusively on cases where juveniles were sentenced to lengthy adult prison sentences. Since then, Ms. Denholtz has built an impressive career as a litigator, specializing exclusively in criminal defense.
